The Roster:
I divide my research like a professional baseball team; more well researched ideas, higher conviction ideas are starters and franchise players. Ideas I am interested in possibly adding are free agents or minor leaguers.
Franchise Players:
Invaluable ideas to build your portfolio around. Traits include: best in class wide-moat competitive advantages, leadership and evergreen thesis.

Stars:
Top performers in their category, may include strong competitive advantages, but not immune to overvaluation resulting in cap casualties.

Role Players:
Great at providing a product or service, but perhaps have more to prove to become a star with competitive advantages. May be important diversifiers, that come with cheaper price tags.

AAA:
Up and comers that have proven disruption in an industry, worth taking a shot on even if it comes at a price.

Free Agents:
Proven performers, that you would like to sign but are either asking for too much money or have unresolved concerns.
Cap Casualties:
Overpriced for the value they provide.

Lame Ducks:
Declining fundamentals or have underplayed thier contract, likely short targets.
